Non-Cash Donations

If you donate any stuff (clothes, furniture, electronics, etc.), you need to know the donated value of each item. I know we’d all like to take the value we paid for it, but per IRS, we must take the Thrift Shop Value.

And since the drop-off place will only give you a blank receipt,

 

Also, photos help for high priced items and an auction receipt is needed for donated cars.
